FOR SALE: RARE 1989 Volvo 780 Bertone Turbo Coupe w/Manual Transmission conversion $3000 - OBO Here is your chance to own a true one-of-a kind automobile! Volvo's official production total for the 780 Bertone Coupe is 8,518 cars built between 1986 and 1991. Only only after 1988 was the Turbocharged In-line 2.3L 4 cylinder offered. Every 780 brought into the US by Volvo was an automatic. I converted this car to a MANUAL TRANSMISSION! It might be the only one like it in the US! I have checked over the years on multiple Volvo enthusiast sites but never found another stick-shift 780 Bertone. The sturdy & dependable turbocharged Redblock engine is pretty quick & responsive to begin with, & with the added benefit of a stick-shift...IT REALLY MOVES! And…for the real enthusiast…THIS CAR HANDLES!!! In fact, it handles better than the BMW 633 that I owned. I would put it up against most current performance coupes with confidence. It has incredible handling due to many suspension modifications, upgrades and high-performance tires included in the following Spec list: ·2.3 Liter, Inline 4, turbocharged B230FT Redblock Engine ·Converted to a M46 Manual 4-speed transmission with P-type overdrive (use as 5th gear for city or highway driving), filled with Redline MTL ·Integrated Euro-spec lights with H4/H1 bulbs, with relay and upgraded wiring ·Head shaved to raise compression ratio from 8.7 to 9.3:1 ·IPD Adjustable Cam Gear ·IPD 25mm front and rear Swaybars (that's right, the rear is also 25mm) ·Bilstein shocks at all corners (this is a rare conversion, given the independent rear suspension that used Nivomats originally). Thanks to Bilstein's lifetime warranty, one of the front shocks was replaced in 2006 and another in 2008 ·Lowered front and back, the rear using 240 springs ·Lower chassis brace to tie together the front suspensions ·Cross drilled/slotted front rotors ·ATE Powerdisc rear rotors (atomic slot pattern) ·2.25" cat-back exhaust ·Turn signal repeaters on the front fenders ·205/50R15 Michelin  Pilot Exalto PE2's installed in March 2009 on the original, rare, cross-X wheels, which were painted prior to the installation. ·New windshield installed 2002 ·New steering gear installed 2001 ·Timing belt and alternator belt replaced about 12k miles ago ·Transmission mount and driveshaft rubber flex joint replaced in 2008 ·AC compressor was just changed, system was refilled & tested for leaks but it does leak so it was not refilled again ·Always used Mobil 1 oil Extra parts included: A straight trunklid A clean front airdam that by itself is worth a fortune considering how rare an undamaged one is Two boxes filled with useful & hard to find spare parts Call: 954-515-6182
